Happy Halloween!

I can't believe today was officially Halloween! I love October so much, sometimes I never want it to end.. But I can say I am ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas! And not to consider all the birthday planning for Mr. Coopers party in 16 days!
I hope everyone had a fun and festive Halloween. I know me and Cooper did! We went to a lot of "trunk or treats" and we went to Publix. Everyone just loved Cooper and his costume. He had a good time, and he kept picking out what kind of candy he wanted. He ain't no fool! And must I say he really does have a big sweet tooth just like his mama (;
Cooper dressed as a monster, and must I say he was the cutest little monster I have ever seen!
I was really surprised he kept the hood on. He HATES hats, and at our Halloween party we went to he kept taking it off. Guess he was feeling the hat mood tonight!
And next year will be even better because he will be able to walk and will probably be more interested in Halloween. Although I can tell he enjoyed himself because of the candy.
People aren't lying when they say Halloween is so much better when you have kids. It just makes it more special, creating memories with the little lovies!

This October has had it's ups and downs, one was our house catching on fire, but we should have a new place by November! Fingers crossed and prayers!! Me and Cooper have been doing tons of shopping for his birthday also. We got everything for party favors except for the crayon pans which I am going soon to get at Party City. And I also got his birthday gift which I will talk all about on a separate post! I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween, now let the Thanksgiving festive's begin!

House fire and updates!

Yes, you read it right.. house fire. 4 days ago our house caught on fire. It was around 1:00 in the morning. Luckily I was not asleep yet. I heard something that sounded like a airplane literally fixing to crash through the house! I grabbed Cooper and when I did I saw hot scalding water pouring out of the walls, it was beyond scary. Our hot water heater had busted, and the water in this can get up to 150+ . This had to be in the 100's, as it was so steamy in the house you couldn't hardly see. You could of cooked noodles in the water it was so hot. We rushed everyone out the door SAFELY. I am still thanking God everyone got out safe and no one was hurt. We called the fire department, they went in to check and said that yes, our house did catch on fire, BUT the water put it out. The floors are caved in and we have tons of water damage as well as burnt walls and it smells so awful in the house it's unbearable. Insurance came out a few days ago, took pictures and we should know something by Thursday-Friday. We are hoping we will know something tomorrow! We are in the process of finding a new house right now to put in place of the other, but it may take a few months to even get it there. So for now we have been looking at apartments to live in for a temporary time. Fire is one of my biggest fears, this was so scary, I was crying and all I could picture was loosing all of Coopers stuff, my stuff and everything!! We have had tons of people praying for us and asking if we need anything. You guys are incredible and so amazing and I thank you all for asking if we need any help but mainly for the wonderful prayers! God knows what we need and he will help us through this! For now we staying at my aunts and grandmas, bless them. Things could have been A LOT worse, God was with us that night for sure. Thanks for reading this! This is why I haven't been on in a while because I have been going through a lot with this and it's hard loosing your own home. We were able to go in a get some stuff out but we have to be very careful because the floors are caved and there are tons of water damage.

Other than that scary night me and Cooper have been doing some shopping and getting everything together for his birthday! Which will be in about 25 more days, he has 4 days till he is 11 months old. It's unbelievable. I can't believe my itty bitty baby is growing up so fast.
We did some shopping at the wonderful and addicting store called TARGET (; We ended up getting some paper straws which will be set out for people and also probably going to use two for his birthday banner I am doing for him. The plate isn't birthday related by the way, it was just a buck at Target and is totally adorable! And I also got him some felt owl, pumpkin and leaf stickers to decorate the fireplace and his high chair with.
Also, his birthday iron on came yesterday and his birthday high chair banner should be here tomorrow. I will be working on his birthday onesie tomorrow, so I will show the finished product of that once done!
And I have been peeling orange, yellow and white crayons all day yesterday!! I peeled them for so long my finger nail underneath was bleeding. Today I attempted to do some more but my fingers hurt so bad I skipped it! But these will be made out of home made candy corn crayons for the kids party favors. Can not wait to do this!!

We did some shopping yesterday at Publix! I am trying to get him started on some whole milk but he doesn't seem to like it very much. He needs it though for his bones, so if anyone has some suggestions let me know! I am going tomorrow to get him some organic vanilla flavored some hopefully this will help! I also thought maybe heating it up may help as well.
Also Target has out Halloween mac and cheese! It has pumpkin, bat and ghosts shaped noodles. It's so adorable and the kids will love it! At least Cooper did! It's only a dollar, so this would be awesome for a Halloween party as well.
And Cooper having some cheese, banana and turkey slices for lunch today! Also my child loves broccoli!! LOVES it. Just like his mama loving beans, rice and broccoli! I am so blessed he loves to eat healthy and loves anything. Hopefully this will continue and he won't get too picky. (;

I wanted to show two more things! The first picture his Coopers Christmas tie from Etsy that came a few days ago! It's a iron on, so can't wait to work with this! And the next photo is a baby food jar with gold fish snacks in it. I just wanted to say that baby food jars are the absolute best things to put snacks in when your on the road! If you have more than one kid, give each of the kids one to themselves! It's just enough for them and easy to carry along (:
Thanks for looking guys and please keep the prayers coming! I appreciate them all and God bless you all. I hope everyone has a good rest of the week and weekend (:

Sunday Fun day!

Today has been super exciting for me and Cooper, for this reason right here: We finally found us a new great church to go to!!! It's such a blessing that God called us to this church, and today was amazing in it.. I just wanted to go back! I wish it would have lasted a little longer. (: I am so thankful I found a church to bring my son to! Being raised with the Lord ...there is nothing better than that. So thank you Jesus for leading us to this church where we will be joining!
Anyways.. that was our exciting adventure today (: Other than that, we went to a place called "Deaf and Blind school" They let kids play on the swings and play grounds during the weekends when class isn't in session, so we usually take Cooper and my niece over there to have some fun! Which by the way, Cooper is totally obsessed with swinging and just loves it!
Also I wanted to mention I purchased Cooper's first iron on for his birthday! It's totally adorable and I can't wait till it gets here. I also bought him his first iron on for Christmas which is a tie! I am hoping these iron on's are easy to do because I have never done them before and I would hate to mess this up. I heard they are sew-able so if that's the case that may be better.
This is his birthday iron on which I thought went perfect since he is having a Fall/Owl theme. We are incorporating candy corns in with this to make that great fall feeling! The lady at Etsy personalized this for me for just an extra buck! So the whole thing just ended up costing me $8.00 which was fantastic considering it has their name personalized on it! And she is super nice so if you are interested in this here is the link to purchase! She also makes many more iron on's!

And this is the Christmas iron on:
I love how he can wear it just besides Christmas too. I like stuff that he can wear many other times than just once to get the money's worth out of it! These are super cheap on Etsy for $1.95 and shipping makes it $3!! Both of these are suppose to come this week so I am so excited to receive them, and I will post a picture of how they come out! Here is the link to the Christmas tie!

I am still currently looking for some more stuff for his birthday but I did manage to finally figure out the kids party favors which will be home made candy corn crayons! Super super easy and fun! Right now I am on a search around the house for broken crayons! You can find the "how to" for this on Pinterest but basically you just take whatever crayon you prefer, it's probably best to stick to one kind since some tend to not write as well as others.. which for this I am sticking to Crayola. Anyways, you take the wrapper off the crayon, break them into smaller pieces, put them in whatever baking pan you prefer.. I think the temp is somewhere in between 300-350? Just enough to completely melt them. And once they are melted, take them out of the over, let them sit and cool off COMPLETELY over night until hardened, take them out and enjoy your crayon!! So easy and fun for the kids. And whatever theme you choose just pick out a pan you prefer to make the crayons in! For this I am doing candy corn pans! So these will be huge crayons that will last a while (:

Also wanted to mention I chose his cake topper (Pom pom orange cake topper on Etsy) and his high chair banner on Etsy which a lady is personalizing for me! I will post picture once it all comes!

And of course I can't leave without showing off some cute photos of Cooper today!

And he made his sheep face today in Sunday school! Looks like he is saying "Baaaa" in this photo!
I love him to the moon and back! 14 more days till you are 11 months! He is incredibly smart and super sweet. I hope everyone had a fantastic Sunday!

Coopers birthday ideas (updated!)

So a while back I posted some birthday ideas I had been thinking about for Cooper.. since doing some searching on Pinterest and some thinking I have changed my mind completely on some stuff! Which anyways, I knew I would (; Most of all of the food is staying the same except with the exception of deserts. Here is the menu:
I decided for the dinner we would have chili beans (nothing has changed on this) Cooper LOVES his chili beans which I am very happy about! Along with that will be rice, in case anyone wants to put their chili over that, and we will have garlic bread. Also laying out saltine crackers, Frito's and 2 different cheeses (cheddar and spicy) since I know some people like their chili spicy, I don't care for it and also Cooper won't be able to handle it spicy!
Alright for deserts, it has changed completely! I had said before I wanted this red velvet cake with an owl on it, which was really beautiful, but I changed my mind to a candy corn cake!! Which I will be making myself. I will link recipe as well. Anyways, it's very simple and SO cute! I know Cooper will love it. And I like that I will be able to make it home made for him, which is always so much better! You are all probably pretty familiar with the ombre cakes. When I first looked at them I thought, no way I can do this! But as I started looking, it just looks so simple. All it requires is white cake mix, food coloring, pans and the ingredients for the batter! Also for the cupcakes, everyone else will be having candy corn cupcakes! You use about the same method as you would on the smash cake, but you just pour it into cupcake tins. And garnish all this with cute sprinkles and candy corns! I am very excited to be making all this for him. (:

I also decided on his clothing, which I have changed my mind on as well. After looking on Etsy some more, I wanted something just more simple. So I found this white onesie with the gold letters "ONE" on it. I also found this king crown that has gold "ONE" on it as well! Super cute (:
Isn't it just precious!? I could totally see him wearing this. Although, I keep my fingers crossed he will leave the crown on, since he will never leave hats on his noggin!
I haven't decided on pants, although I would love to have gold to match with everything, so far I haven't found any.. even on Etsy! If anyone comes across any please let me know (:
Also, I am thinking about getting him an owl onesie to go along with it, since he is having an Owl/fall theme, I don't won't it to seem too off.. hm, so many ideas!

I also changed my mind on party favors! Found this delicious popcorn mix recipe that is super simple but yummy! You just need popcorn, almond bark, pretzels, and candy corn! Perfect for the theme, and I will post recipe at the end of the blog!
Also for people coming in, just wanting something to eat I am making home made pumpkin dip (I didn't change my mind on this) with sliced apples and Nilla Wafers, and seasoned pretzels! Once you eat one of these pretzels you will be eating the whole bag. (Recipe at the end of blog)

For decor I figured out I am going to probably end up making this home made, by either cutting out candy corn and putting the letters "ONE" on there for his high chair banner. I am still thinking hard on decor but for everything else, I think I have it all figured out! I can't believe in less than 50 days my babes will be a year old. It has flown by and it's such a blessing to watch him grow. I can't wait to actually post the real thing (:

Love List for Fall!

1.
Mm, heaven! The first picture is ranch potatoes, with bacon, cheese and scallions! They are super simple and really quick to make. The second photo is stuffed carrots.. my all time favorite fall meal besides chili beans! Most people have never heard of stuffed carrots, but my grandma always makes them at Christmas and Thanksgiving. They are great. All you do is take carrots, boil them, cut the inside of them, add cheese and bacon and put them in the oven to bake a little bit to melt all the cheese! Both of these are really easy and fast meals!

2.
I wish I could just live in these slippers. They are so comfy!! This morning it felt AMAZING outside, so it was a leggings and slippers kind of day! You can purchase these slippers at Belks or JcPenny.

3. All the fall meals: Just something about the Fall meals. My favorite is probably chili beans! I have always loved them and the smell of them in the crock pot is just amazing. Also, I have been making lots of pumpkin bread lately! Makes the house smell so good. I am a huge soup fan, so this is exactly what I love about the Fall!

4. Buying new clothes for Cooper!!! Love buying him new Fall/winter clothing and putting away the summer ones. Although I super wish he loved hats as much as I like them on him. I spent $20 on two hats, which he refuses to have on that hard head of his! I hope if I ever have a girl she enjoys headbands on her noggin (;

5.
Pumpkin patches are the best. This is what I wait on! And it's so much fun with a baby along! Cooper loves all the bright orange pumpkins, the love for Fall is just in his blood! And must I say, orange IS his color!

6. Fall/Halloween bucket shopping! Going all festive this year, since this is Coopers first Halloween. I know I have talked about the buckets in some of my previous post. Cooper just loves the buckets. It really gives him something to look forward to each year besides just a bucket. Great tradition!

7. Scary Movies. Loving all the Halloween marathons that are on. Hocus Pocus being one of them, I haven't watched it in so long, but it comes on all the time now! And must I admit Disney Channel Halloweentown is an awesome movie (;

8.
Long sleeve onesies/shirts. I just love long sleeve clothing, hoodies, jeans, and boots. I hate dressing for the Summer because no matter what I wear I still sweat like a pig. But in the winter you can dress in several layers and it's just so much better! Love putting all these sweet little long sleeve outfits on Cooper I have been desperately waiting to put on him (:

Well that's my love list for the Fall! Also been doing lots more planning for his birthday, managed to figure out his whole meal, cake, and cupcakes! I find that the decor and gifts for him is what is hardest! I will figure something out, though! So excited, but at the same time it makes me a little sad my baby is growing up and will be the big one in 50 days! Hope everyone has a great week!

Pumpkin Patch!

I have been very busy lately! That is why I haven't got around to posting anything yet. We had a great time today, as we took a trip to the pumpkin patch!! His first trip. It was very exciting and he had SO much fun. I believe he likes the color orange (;
We also got his one year old photo done since he is almost a year old! PERFECT. Since he is having a Fall/owl theme birthday party, this picture is just amazingly perfect. Love everything about it. He did so well with his photos!
Mr. Photogenic I believe!?
Uh, I just can't handle his cuteness!!!
The little girl is my sweet niece!

Over all, we had a blast at the pumpkin patch (:

We also made some Halloween Spider cup cakes today! And Cooper got his first mini cupcake! He has never really had sweets, so he LOVED it. I can't wait to see what he will do on his first birthday with his smash cake.
And you can see Cooper's face covered in chocolate! Some people were asking me about the recipe, it was nothing special. Just a box cake mix (I got Halloween funfetti cake mix) Chocolate whipped icing, or whichever you prefer. Then the legs, eyes and cupcake holders were prepacked in a box I got from Wal-Mart! It's really simple though and fun for a Halloween party! And kids love them (;

Also did LOTS of shopping on Fall baskets, which they got yesterday! I did one for my niece and one for Cooper. In Coopers basket he had Yo Gabba Gabba pj's, this is his favorite cartoon! He also had "Five little pumpkins" book, a Fall DVD, a skeleton cup with a straw, pumpkin and spinach organic baby food, cereal bars, and an owl hat! My niece got her some footed pj's, Reese cups (her favorite candy) a Max and Ruby DVD, a book, cat cup with straw, and a Lalaloopsy doll! They were so amazed by the baskets! This will be a tradition that will carry on (:

And my babe modeling his Yo Gabba pj's!! Absolutely adorable (:

And last but not least, Cooper doing what he does best, pulling at his mama's face (; We can never hardly get a decent photo together! He is a wiggle worm.
I hope everyone has had a great weekend!! This weekend should be interesting since I have to go to the dentist Tuesday for some dental work, oh joy! Also colder weather is moving in after this hurricane is out and over with. I can NOT wait!! This hot weather in October is killing the vibe. Happy Sunday ! (:

10 month love list!

Happy First day of October! (: Just what I have been waiting on. Can't wait for all the exciting things me and Cooper are going to do together this month!!
I wanted to do my 10 month old Love List. Stuff I have loved having since Cooper is 10 months old now.

1.
Nuk Sippy cups! Cooper has been drinking from a sippy cup since he was about 7 months old, but I love the Nuk ones!

2.
Graco Car seat. This is the same exact one my son has, and I LOVE it! Comes with two cup holders, head support cushion, and butt cushion. Easy to adjust and snap on.

3.
Bouncy balls! He absolutely loves them.

4.
Coopers favorite book is All of Baby Nose to Toes! It is such an adorable book, and he laughs every time I read it. I really recommend this book!

5.
These are my favorite Baby spoons. I don't really care for the ones with the rubber on the spoon part.

6.
Cooper loves Yogurt melts! He likes any kind of them. Also, you can make these home made! I have did that several times, but I have to say I prefer these. Especially just on the go, since the home made ones melt so quickly.

7.
Long baby bibs! I don't think this is exactly one of the way longer ones, but right now bibs (any kind) are life savers! He drools tons, and plus a 10 month old is a messy eater!! So bibs are our best friend right now.

8.
Owl shopping cart cover Probably the best thing we have ever bought! Love these. This particular one is only sold in stores, but there are tons more on Wal-mart, Etsy and Amazon!

9.
Nuk Paci clip and Paci! Yes, my son is in LOVE with his paci! It's going to be heck trying to get him off of it. But right now Nuk Paci and the clips are great. This particular paci clip is from Etsy online, but you can find them anywhere. Nuk are his favorite pacis though!

10.
Burts Bees baby shampoo is our favorite kind of shampoo! Since finding out my son has very sensitive skin this is wonderful. We use Basis body soap, though.

Alright well this is our top 10 favorites for 10 months!! Hope every one has a good first day of October!

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone! Thanking God for another wonderful day on this Earth!! Me and Cooper have been pretty busy lately. Trying to get everything together for his Fall/Halloween baskets! He has also been keeping me VERY busy. He is starting to get braver by the day, letting go and standing by his self! I can't believe he turned 10 months old yesterday. He knows how to crawl, walk holding on to stuff, says 4 words, and has the most cutest and precious little personality ever!!
And this is him in his crib, as usual standing up in it, making mommy a nervous wreck. It amazes me that he has learned how to do all of this so fast!

Not looking so thrilled in this photo. I have found he loves the remote, so usually when I take a photo I have to hold something in front of him. If I didn't I probably wouldn't be able to get any of him!
Also we got a little festive today in his glow in the dark skeleton romper (: I thought, why not let him get some use out of it, since it is officially Fall! He looks so sweet and adorable in it.

Well that's about our day! We didn't do too much, but this week and the next is going to be super busy for us, actually all of October is going to be!! I can't wait to post his Halloween photos we are having done. Those should be posted sometime next weekend (:
Hope everyone is having a great weekend and a great Sunday!

Shopping with Cooper!

I hope everyone's week is going well! Me and Cooper have been doing some shopping over the week, getting everything for his Fall Basket, and everything for Halloween since the days and months are just swooshing by!!
I actually did find something Cooper loved! A huge Monsters Inc doll!! He is totally in love with them, and I plan on getting him the talking one for his birthday! This is a Halloween one, so I may just have to go back and get it for him (; I try to manage the number of stuffed furry animals just because half the time they just sit there, and collect dust and they make allergies worse! But he seemed to really like it!
And we just totally had a blast trying on Halloween hats and such. Liking Coopers "pimp" hat!!? And you can even see he is posing.. In both photos!
And yes, I couldn't resist putting this hat on him... It was just way too cute, even if it is for little girls. But who said boys couldn't be witches!?

I also made some very yummy home made pumpkin bread! I put the recipe in a previous blog. This pumpkin bread is beyond amazing! It's super moist, and I promise you will probably eat the whole loaf. So if you don't won't to gain 10+ pounds, don't make it!

And him in the car heading to do some shopping with mommy! With his favorite baby Einstein music box.

Also one more thing I wanted to post! Mummy cupcake kit. So adorable and I am going next month to get it to make some! The kit has everything you need, you can purchase them on an online Halloween store, I can't remember the exact name of it, but if you Google mummy cupcake kit it should come up. They are on sale right one for 5 dollars! This one was at Wal-Mart and they had so many other cute ones too!! I am excited for all these festive and fun activities. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
